Photography

I started my journey in photography around 2001, or right before I went to Japan. In Japan this interest blossomed into a passion instead of just a hobby and I haven't looked back since.

My first camera love affair was with a Pentax Optio S, which is currently four times worse than most smart phones nowadays. But at the time, it was an amazing little camera that fit in an Altoids box (hence it's name "Al"). I ran with that camera until it literally sputtered out and died. After that I shot with a Canon Digital Rebel XT (aka "Marty") for about year before purchasing my current camera, a Canon 7D (named "Tony").

I shoot with a variety of lenses including a basic wide angle, telephoto, macro, and lens baby with various filters, triggers and techniques. Photos are edited only slightly in Lightroom and CS5, mainly for levels, resizing and general cosmetic touchups. All photographs are available in most sizes for purchase, so feel free to contact me if you'd like to get a price quote or to order something.
