The first time I went to Japan was from January to mid-April in 2002...I didn't own a digital camera and while I did take a lot of pictures I never got around to really putting them on the web. It was a fun trip, so fun in fact that I went again! On August 28, 2003 I went to Japan for a second time to attend the Japan Center for Michigan Universities (JCMU) once again and finished up my Japanese language requirements for my degree. I took pictures and video everywhere I went and enjoyed every minute of it!

It was because of this section that I bought official webspace and my domain name, because Michigan State University simply did not offer enough room for all of these pictures. At first I made all of the photos 300 pixels wide since I was trying to conserve space (the first few months) and only posted a few, but after I bought my own space I increased the size to 400-550 pixels on the highest side. Still not huge, but they're at least .jpg files. If you want a larger version of a picture email me with the address and I'll see what I can do =) Also, while my camera is great at taking pictures in ideal conditions, it sucks at taking pictures in the dark and the video and sound quality is REALLY cheap...don't expect much there. Just a little warning.

FYI: Click on the DATE to get to the next folder and the specific DATES again to get to the photo galleries. Each gallery is accompanied with a paragraph or two explaining what I did for that time period and what the pictures are of. Sometimes the pictures got a little mixed up though so they're not necessarily in chronological order. If you're looking through them all I suggest you start at the BOTTOM and work your way UP so you can see what I did in order. Enjoy, and let me know if you have questions or comments!
